Brand Manager

Position: Brand Manager
Type: FTE – 40 hours/week
Location(s): Partially remote with frequent visits to stores


As the Brand Manager at Nautical Bowls, you will be responsible for all things marketing and social media. Social media is our #1 form of marketing and we’re looking for someone who is able to continue elevating and pushing the envelope on how we show up across all channels. In addition to social media, we are growing (quickly!) and are looking for someone who can support the franchises and corporate team with a variety of marketing related initiatives, strategies and requests to support this growth.

This brand new position is critical to the success of Nautical Bowls and will play an important role in scaling the brand while maintaining brand integrity and success.


  • Lead the vision for brand marketing, partnerships (corporate, ambassadors, community) and social media for Nautical Bowls
  • Conceptualize, plan and execute marketing strategies, campaigns and activations while working closely with the internal team for alignment
  • Own the brand marketing budget and keep it organized and on track to goals
  • Identify opportunities on our social channels and work nimbly to create solutions and actions, enrolling key parties to keep Nautical Bowls a trailblazer online
  • Attend weekly corporate staff meetings and integrate high-level goals into the brand marketing strategy to ensure cohesion and alignment across verticals
  • Partner with graphic designer(s) to create and deploy brand email & SMS campaigns, specifically to support new markets and Grand Openings
  • Monitor and reply thoughtfully to Google reviews weekly
  • Manage the Nautical Bowls inbox, prioritizing partnership requests and feedback emails by fielding them to the appropriate stores/parties.
  • Create engaging and on brand content for our social channels by storyboarding and assembling raw footage, inputting sound and graphics to enhance footage, and correcting lighting into long and short form videos and reels.
  • Develop, implement, and manage marketing data to develop measurable standards of success. Brief and enroll internal teams in these metrics for visibility
  • Monitor, respond to, and engage with social channels daily (including weekends)
  • Create, proof and post on brand captions and copy for all social stories and posts
  • Attend various Nautical Bowls events to capture content and represent brand from a social perspective
  • Build a strong, passionate online community to support the Nautical Bows brand
  • Actively scout and develop exciting new opportunities for brand awareness of Nautical Bowls initiatives and events in new and prospective markets
  • Stay on top of current social media trends and work cross-functionally to bring new ideas to life, always keeping Nautical Bowls at the forefront of social content
  • Support franchisees with event marketing initiatives, as needed
  • Support franchisees with Nautical Bowls Ambassador Program requests, approvals and inquiries, as needed


  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or similar field
  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in marketing, social, business or related fields
  • You have a deep passion for our core values and mission
  • You have demonstrated experience in translating vision/strategy into actionable plans that deliver on and exceed goals
  • You are passionate about our brand, our product and our mission
  • You have strong experience working with cross-functional teams, both in house and agencies.
  • You have very strong organizational and communication skills
  • You are proficient in different editing software and social platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Lightroom, Canva, and Adobe and Illustrator.
  • You have the ability to take and follow instructions while also having an eye for improvements. You are open to feedback and also comfortable offering it.

  • Availability and willingness to work ‘off hours’ to support the brand, including grand opening events, night/weekend events or initiatives
  • Willingness to monitor social channels and manage the online community during nights/weekends, within reason
